CoolSculpting® for Non-Invasive Fat Reduction

There are several different options for fat reduction, but some treatments require surgery and expose patients to dangerous complications. If you’re looking for non-invasive fat reduction, it might be time to consider CoolSculpting®. This procedure is suitable for individuals who are struggling with stubborn fat pockets that are resistant to dieting and exercise.

This procedure is also worth considering if you have fat deposits around your thighs, back or abdomen. Most patients choose CoolSculpting® because they want to enjoy the benefits of non-surgical fat reduction.

What You Should Know About CoolSculpting®

Before you undergo this treatment option, there are some things that you should know about it. First, CoolSculpting® is used to freeze fat cells. When the cells get cold enough, they’ll self-destruct. This procedure has been cleared by the FDA and has been performed hundreds of thousands of times.

It uses controlled cooling to freeze stubborn fat cells, and once the cells are frozen, they begin to die off. Unlike some of the other options out there, the results are based on science.

The fat cells within your body freeze at a much higher temperature than other tissue, so we can use CoolSculpting® for the precise targeting of your stubborn fat cells. Once the cells have been cooled, your body will metabolize them over time.

The freezing of the fat cells is called Cryolipolysis, and it occurs when fat cells are frozen and crystalized. When compared with the normal cells in your body, fat cells crystalize at a faster rate, so you don’t have to worry about damage to nerves, skin and surrounding tissue.

After the treatment, it doesn’t take long for the fat cells to die, and the natural processes within your body will metabolize the cells and remove them from the target areas. Diet and exercise are only capable of reducing the size of your fat cells, but CoolSculpting® actually kills and destroys the cells.

How CoolSculpting® Works

During the procedure, paddle-like applicators are used to deliver the cold energy. Every CoolSculpting® device has two panels, and there are 3,000 sensors on each side. Your skin will be protected with a gel pad, and when you’re ready, the procedure will begin.

Once the device has been activated, it uses suction to pull up the target area and then places it between the two panels. The target section will be held between the two panels for the entire procedure. The treatment shouldn’t take much longer than an hour.

Is CoolSculpting® Right for You?
